The computer says that my account is locked. What should I do?

If you enter the wrong password more than three times, your account will become locked. If you are entering the correct password wait fifteen minutes and it will unlock itself.

If you are a student and your account becomes locked because of an incorrect password, you can use the Windows Self-Service Password manager to independently reset your password or you can visit any of the staffed computer labs to have your password reset for you. 

If you are a faculty member and your account becomes locked because of an incorrect password you may also use the Self Service Password manager to reset your password or contact the Help Desk at  (203) 837-8467 for further assistance.
