How does printing work on campus?

You will need a valid Western ID Card and need to be registered for the current academic term. The card allows the university printing system to release your print jobs to you from our staffed computer labs.

To print from any of the staffed computer labs to an available printer queue, select File, then “print” from the program you have opened or by pressing ‘Ctrl’ and ‘P’ at the same time. You can choose from a range of options including having your document printed single-sided or duplex.  If you do not wish to use any of the options, simply go ahead and click the Print button.

Your document will then be identified within the Pharos printing system. To release the print job, swipe your valid Western ID using the card reader(s) installed near the printers. Select the job that you wish to print using the touchscreen. Select Print. Your remaining balance credits will show up on the touchscreen. The job will release to the nearest printer.

If you have forgotten your Western ID card, give the Computer Center Assistant your last name and ask them to “push” your document through.
